Mens Bush Camp 2010

Friday 22nd October, we loaded the central camp items onto Ben's trust Landy and set off to Hluhluwe.

Arriving at Hluhluwe, Kokkie filled his D4D with diesel while the rest filled their tanks with, well... other kinds of fuel for the trip.

Leaving Mbaswane, the tires were deflated and we set off on the sand track to Bhangazi.

Setting up camp in the wind was challenging.

Dudley, as always had a smile.

Ryno, wrestling in the wind with his tent.

Once all was set up it was time for some laughs and something to eat.

Hansie took the lead and prepared some 'snacks',... well if you could call them that.... they were more like a meal on their own...

Dudley lead the group in discussions around fellowship.

Sunday after a hearty breakfast, the convoy packed and headed back towards Mbaswane.

Darryl, found the top of Ben's Landy more fun....

Please let me have more pics for our blog.

Thanks

May's Mens Felowship and Breakfast gathering Naval Island

We had our first fellowship meeting for those who attended the Mighty Mens Conference and others, this year.

We met at 07h00 on Saturday morning for a breakfast, a little scripture and prayers / testimonies.
I was a little concerend that no-one would attend, but 13 of us braved getting up early to have fellowship with one another.
How blessed we were, a beautiful sunny morning with the Lord ever present.

This fellowship meeting is about continuing the good works started at the Mighty Mens conference earlier.

As Duncan aptly described it.
Mighty Men is like a big Braai with the fire stoked and the coals red hot - all the men on fire for Jesus.
We then go home and each one of us is like a coal that has fallen from the fire, we still burn and have fire in our hearts, but with time this fire starts to diminish.

The goal of these fellowship meetings is to rekindle these fires, for when all these fires (coals) gather we have a roaring fire for the Lord.

This meeting recharged me and has given me a purpose.

Everyone present agreed that this should become a monthly thing.

I will notify all of you regarding the next meeting.

For those of you who did not attend, the invitation still stands for you to join us at the next one.

God Bless

Graeme

Mens Breakfast -- 6th March

15 of the Baptist men gathered for breakfast on the Nsaleni river bank.

Earlier in the week Neels wife Inna, kindly offered to travel to her favorite butcher in Mtuba and special ordered some select B/Wors for the men. The secret recipe of onion and tomato gravy was as usual , stunning.

What a surprise and a treat. Thank you Inna and Neels it was great.

After Breakfast in the peace and shade of the river bank, Dudley delivered his message to the men. Something we could all reflect on...... Thank you Dudley.

By 09h00 we were done and the group packed up and headed back to catch the Sharks playing later in the morning.

Great morning was had by All.

Thanks to all who attended and Inna.

God Bless
